Maori with Whaea Odie

This week for Maori with whaea Odie, we learnt how to coordinate with poi's, which was really a difficult challenge. Did you know that the Poi is the maori word for 'ball' on a cord. Today we learnt how to do a poi dance and it took a lot of practice which was really challenging. We learnt how to do the poi dance to the song "Rere Atu". Most hardest part, was when we had to hold the with our weak hand which was the most difficult thing.

Fireworks Provocation DLO


Today Nyjah and I, created a DLO about the need to be banning fireworks or not. In our DLO it has the reason for why we should ban fireworks, which the information we got was of the NZ Herald and Kiwi Kidz News and why we shouldn't ban them at all.Then at the end give our opinion of what we think should happen, for fireworks to be banned or not and why.

Fireworks Presentation



Yesterday, for Inquiry we were asked to , get into 7 groups of 3 and make a presentation about being safe around fireworks. We then, had to pick one of the junior classes to present it to. In making our presentation we were asked to make it, simple so the kids would be able understand our message.
This is the presentation that Mele, Angela and I created, this presentation, which we then presented to Rm 6.

Maths Challenge Wall





Today for Maths, I and some other group of people did maths challenge wall. Were we were practicing our maths stratergies and learning how to be confident in something that we may not understand. The hard part of it or the only thing I didn't understand was where I had to divide my number it was very confusing.
