Katsu Chicken

                                                         Food Tech - Katsu Chicken


On Wednesday, we made Katsu Chicken for food tech. We were asked to follow the recipe step by step. The first step was to make the Katsu Sauce, which consisted of Tomato sauce. Soy sauce,Lemon juice, Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce.

Then we had to cut the chicken into slices, then coat them in flour, egg then breadcrumbs.

Then while someone cooked the chicken, the other two of us had to prepare the salad.

When the chicken was finally cooked, we prepared the rice and then assembled the chicken and salad on the dish. After that we drizzled some of the katsu sauce on the chicken and added a drizzle of mayo for a finishing touch.

When we were finally done with assembling the Katsu Chicken, we each took turns taking our picture with our dish.

Before we could eat, we were asked to clean the kitchen and make sure all our dishes and utensils were all clean and back on our equipment trolley.

When we had finished cleaning the kitchen, we ate.
